This Standard specifies material and fabrication requirements for corrugated steel pipe, spiral rib pipe, structural plate, and two-flange tunnel liner plate.

This Standard applies to corrugated steel pipe and buried structures for applications such as culverts, storm sewers, storm water management systems, subdrains, hydraulic structures, grade separations, and tunnels.

This Standard does not include requirements for hydraulic design, service life, structural design, construction, or installation. For the structural design of products less than 3.0 m in span, refer to ASTM A796/A796M. The structural design of corrugated steel pipe and buried structures greater than or equal to 3.0 m in span is included in CSA S6.

1.1 Overview
This Standard provides minimum requirements for the manufacture of MLT using laminations of graded lumber connected parallel to each other along the wide face with metal or wooden fasteners.
1.2 Inclusions
Two qualification paths are provided for prescriptive and custom MLT, respectively, in this Standard:
a)
For prescriptive MLT, the design specifications (in the form of design modification factors) for MLT manufactured in accordance with this Standard are provided in CSA O86.
b)
For custom MLT, which is manufactured using specific fastening and, if present, butt joint details, procedures are provided to derive corresponding design modification factors.
Only MLT panels meeting the requirements of this Standard may be certified, labelled, advertised, and sold as such.
1.3 Exclusions
Storage, handling, and on-site installation of products subsequent to manufacture are not covered in this Standard.

1.2         Exclusions

This Standard does not cover

(a) the quality of the non-potable water;

(b) maintenance and field testing of non-potable water systems after the initial installation; or

(c) non-potable water systems for industrial or manufacturing processes. Maintenance and field-testing requirements are covered in CSA B128.2.

1.3         Other exclusions

This Standard does not cover and does not preclude further treatment of non-potable water to potable standards.

1 Scope

1.1 General

This Standard specifies special requirements for the durability aspects of the design and construction of new parking structures and parts of buildings subject to vehicular traffic.

This includes pedestrian traffic areas adjoining to or contained within parking structures. These include areas such as stairs, and pedestrian bridges from parking structures.

The application of this Standard includes structures which are designed for the storage and/or repair of vehicles whether those structures are stand alone, above ground or below ground, part of or connected to the structure of a larger structure/development.

Note: This includes commercial, residential, industrial or institutional, and all other building types.

1.2 Structure types

New parking structures constructed of structural steel, reinforced concrete (including prestressed concrete), or a combination of these materials fall within the scope of this Standard.

1.3 Repair of existing parking structures

This Standard does not cover the repair of existing parking structures, and the provisions of this Standard are not necessarily appropriate for the repair and protection of existing structures.
